Safe Sanctuary Team:

This ministry creates and maintains the policies and procedures that keep our vulnerable members safe from abuse or harm. This Team monitors policy compliance with staff and other volunteers. They make sure background checks and volunteer applications are complete and in compliance with our standards. They perform an annual review of all volunteers and staff. They follow up on any incidents or reports of harm or abuse in accordance with our policies and procedures and the laws of the State of Delaware.

Time needed: Varies with the time of year and the number of volunteers. Meetings are at the discretion of the team leader, usually the Director of Children’s Ministries, as needed.

Safety Team:

This ministry works hand-in-hand with the Safe Sanctuary Team and the Executive Leadership Team but with a focus on making the facilities safe for all who come onto the property. This Team reviews and inspects the building and property to make sure it is compliant with state and federal laws on safety to include but is not limited to fire escapes and alarms, building codes, etc.

Time needed: Varies depending on needs at the moment. No set meeting schedule. Meetings as needed called by the Team Leader.
