Learning About Christian Living Through ACCS

The Asbury Center for Christian Studies (ACCS) will be held on Wednesday evening from February 21 through March 14. Dinner will be offered on a donation basis at 6 p.m., and classes meet from 6:45 to 8 p.m.

The following classes are being offered this session:

“Veggie Tales: “You Can Trust God” for children and taught by Wanda Foltz.

“What Do You Hear?” for youth and taught by Michelle Wilson.

“The Apostles’ Creed: Part II” taught by Rev. Dale Brown.  You do not need to have taken Part I to participate in this session.

“Play the Man” for adults.

Everyone is invited to participate in ACCS. These classes are an important and exciting opportunity to grow in your faith, to become more like Jesus, and to make new friends.  Please sign up through the church office for the class you are interested in. Knowing how many to expect for each class ensures that we will have plenty of books and materials on hand.

Red Bird Mission Volunteers Plan for 2018

Red Bird Mission Work Camp Program is designed to provide residents of the Beverly area (Appalachia) who are in need of top quality work on their homes, necessary repairs, and improvements to housing.  In addition to those team members who work with their hands on the various repair tasks, team members are also needed to work on the Mission Campus in the craft store, thrift shop, or food bank.  The program provides the partners in mission and team members from the work camp an opportunity to serve, to be successful in the giving of their time and talents, and to sense the love of God that covers us all.  On Saturday, April 28, several volunteers will leave Asbury bound for Beverly, Kentucky, to once again serve needs at the Red Bird Mission.     They will return on Saturday, May 5, filled with many stories to share about their experiences.

Anyone interested in learning more information or in participating in the annual trip to serve the Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky, please contact Susan Wolfe at swolfe612 or Doug Covert at
