Sunday School Nut and Candy Sales

It is that time of year again. The Sunday School Nut and Candy fundraising is getting underway. Brochures and order forms for the congregation are available on the back table as you enter from the back parking lot. As in previous years and once again this year “Thanks so much for supporting our Sunday School Program”.

2nd SUNDAY OFFERING

Our Mission offering for this Sunday will be for Lifetime Wells in Ghana. Ken Wood, who was born and raised in Denton Maryland, realized the urgent need for clean drinking water in the remote areas of Africa and used his expertise in well drilling to answer this call. Ken has been to Asbury twice in the past and will be joining us again next week to speak at all services. We look forward to your continued generous support of this worthwhile project.

PLEASE PRAY

Asbury UMC is working to enhance and grow its prayer ministry.  Each Wednesday a post will be made to the Asbury Facebook page inviting persons to share their prayer request and pray for the needs mentioned in the post.  Please “friend” the Asbury Facebook page @AsburyUMCSmyrna and share the weekly post on your page and encourage your friends to do the same.

 Fellowship Luncheon

Felllowship luncheon is a lite lunch provided by our members after the 11:00 service.  We all sign up to bring a part of the lunch for a Sunday or two.   We thank Debbie Scanlan for many great years of coordinating this luncheon.  However, Debbie is no longer able to coordinate this luncheon and we are in need of a new coordinator. If you are interested please call the office for details.

Travelers keep up with regular offerings by giving electronically

Just as you rely upon receiving income on a regular basis, Asbury UMC relies on your regular contributions. Asbury appreciates the efforts of congregation members to make consistent donations throughout the year—especially during popular winter and summer travel periods. To assist you, the church provides a convenient electronic giving option for setting up regular contributions. Please contact the church office for details.
